Reporting to the CFO the Controller should streamline our accounting functions and operations provide financial analysis and reports train staff on business finance issues promote regulatory compliance and drive income generation while leading a team of accounting professionals.

The successful candidates responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring compliance with all Company policies systems and procedures.
- Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements and balance sheets as needed (i.e. monthly quarterly annually).
- Ownership of account reconciliations banking transactions and internal controls.
- Planning coordinating and directing all accounting operational functions including cost-benefit analyses financial management and estimates.
- Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.
- Coordinating the activities of external auditors.
- Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process on matters related to operational effectiveness systems business trends procedures and personnel.
- Managing the budget process.
- Assessing current accounting operations offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes.
- Evaluating accounting audit and internal control systems.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database.
- Developing and monitoring business performance metrics.
- Overseeing regulatory reporting frequently including tax planning and compliance.
- Hiring training and managing skilled accounting staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will:
- Be a CPA.
- Have 3-5 years of demonstrated proficiency in finance management with sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals.
- Have strong communication skills (oral and written).
- Have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Have auditing experience.
- Be compliance-oriented.
- Have strong analytical skills.
- Have previous experience leading a team of accounting professionals.
- Be proficient with accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).
