We offer a competitive salary learning opportunities and a range of Position:Neelands Group Limited is searching for aConstruction Refrigeration 313A Apprentice (Term 3)to join our team at the Burlington Ontario location. This is a regular full-time union position with a full union compensation :Accurately measure and layout plan for refrigeration system installation in accordance with project plans and and install commercial refrigeration or cold storage units including walk-in coolers/freezers and rack of refrigeration linesCarefully read and interpret blueprints to ensure proper specificationsMeasure cut and connect pipe to components and refrigeration systems using welding and brazing equipmentAssist in the commissioning and start-up of refrigeration the necessary materials required for the project are on hand and readily availableHandle store recover and charge refrigerants safely in accordance with environmental and safety regulationsSafely perform pressure test once pipework is complete to test for leaksRepair and alter pressure system if leak or damage is foundMaintain a clean and organized worksite adhering to health and safety and troubleshoot refrigeration system issues (mechanical and electrical) under guidance or journeypersons in various installation and commissioning duties as assignedQualifications:Registered 3rd year refrigeration apprentice Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in supermarket or commercial refrigeration mechanical aptitudeValid G license with a clean driver abstractAbility to travel when requiredFamiliarity with CO₂ refrigeration systems is considered an you Bring to the Team:A self-starter who is highly effective working independently and within a teamFlexibility along with the ability to operate well under pressureStrong problem-solving abilitiesAbility to perform in a high pressure fast-paced environmentA keen attention to detailA positive hands-on can-do attitudeWhy join NeelandsBenefitsPensionCompetitive SalaryPaid weeklyEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Professional Development and TrainingNeelands Group Limited is committed to providing accessible employment practices that comply with Accessibility standards and regulations.
