Job Summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to serve as the Owners Representative Construction Manager for secondment on ATB Financials major construction programme.

In this role you will be seconded into a dynamic real estate and facilities environment reporting to the Senior Manager Construction. You will play a critical hands-on role in the successful delivery of capital projectsranging from renovations and refreshes to new buildsensuring they are executed with technical excellence safety and fiscal discipline.

This position is central to bringing physical spaces to life. You will lead construction delivery across the full lifecyclefrom pre-construction planning and tendering through to deficiencies commissioning and turnoverworking closely with Project Delivery and Design teams to ensure alignment with governance stakeholder expectations and overall program objectives.

Leveraging Turner & Townsends global expertise and best practices you will provide strong technical leadership oversee contractors and vendors and uphold rigorous standards in quality safety and financial management to deliver high-performing future-ready environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Construction Delivery & Owners Representation: Lead project execution from tender to turnover ensuring construction aligns with approved designs specifications and client standards. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor quality and progress.
  • Financial Oversight & Value Management: Review and validate progress draws change orders and site instructions. Proactively identify value engineering opportunities to optimize project outcomes.
  • Contractor & Vendor Management: Manage General Contractors consultants and vendors holding all parties accountable to schedule quality and safety expectations under CCDC contracts and MSAs.
  • Constructability & Technical Review: Undertake detailed drawing reviews and constructability assessments to mitigate risk reduce rework and ensure design feasibility prior to tender.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Project Delivery and Design leads throughout all phases to ensure alignment with project objectives governance and stakeholder communications.
  • Health Safety & Compliance: Ensure site safety standards are met and maintained in accordance with OH&S regulations and project requirements through effective contractor oversight.
  • Project Close-Out & Handover : Manage close-out deliverables including as-builts O&M manuals occupancy permits and transition to operations and facilities teams.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the evolution of construction processes standards and best practices to enhance delivery efficiency and overall project outcomes.

Qualifications :

  • Experience: 8 years in Construction Management ideally with direct Owners Representative or client-side experience
  • Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in Architecture Engineering Construction Management or related field
    • CET or Architectural Technologist designation is an asset
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of CCDC contracts and construction practices
    • Proficiency in Bluebeam and working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Systems & Tools: Comfortable using Google Suite or similar platforms; experience with IWMS systems is an asset
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage external partners and collaborate within complex regulated environments
