Position: Patent/Compliance Law Attorney
Type: Contract
Compensation: $100$150/hour
Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

• Author tasks and scenarios from real patent and compliance workflows such as patent drafting prosecution and regulatory filings.
• Review and grade AI responses for legal accuracy sound reasoning and adherence to professional standards.
• Produce model golden answer responses and detailed rationale to improve model training.
• Flag ambiguity risk and edge cases as a practicing attorney would.
• Work independently and asynchronously with flexible hours on a project basis.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• 3 years of professional experience in patent law and/or regulatory compliance.
• J.D. (or LL.B./LL.M. equivalent) from leading US/UK/Canada law schools.
• Active or inactive bar admission in a U.S. U.K. or Canadian jurisdiction and/or USPTO/CIPO/UKIPO registration.
• Excellent written communication and ability to articulate complex legal reasoning clearly.

Preferred

• Registered patent attorney/agent with a technical background in engineering CS life sciences or chemistry.
• Hands-on experience with AML/BSA OFAC FCPA HIPAA FDA GDPR/CCPA or export control regimes.
• CIPP/CFE/CAMS certification is a plus.
