Your Role in Supporting Our Members:
As aCompensation Consultant Incentive Plans you are a subject matter expert in the design governance and administration of compensation programs with a strong focus on incentive and commission-based plans across lines of business including Commercial Banking Retail Banking and Wealth.
You will play a key role in evolving Vancitys compensation programs by ensuring plans are well-designed effectively governed and consistently administered. You will partner closely with business leaders and People & Culture stakeholders to translate business strategies into practical compliant and competitive compensation solutions.
This role requires a balance oftechnicalexpertise strong business partnering and data-driven storytellingto influence decision-making andmaintainalignment to Vancitys compensation philosophy.
This is aâFullâtime Permanentârole based at ourâVancityhead officeâand will report directly to theâManager Compensation. While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement you will be expected tobeonâsitefor events and business demands.
How Youll Make an Impact:
- Leadingthe design governance and ongoing administration of incentive and commission-based compensation plans ensuring alignment with businessobjectives regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Actingas a trusted advisor to business leaders (Commercial Retail Wealth) on compensation plan design pay mix performance measures and market practices
- Managingend-to-end incentive plan processes including eligibility performance tracking payout calculations validation and reporting
- Ensuringstrong governance and controls over compensation programs including documentation approval processes audit readiness and consistent policy application
- Partneringwith Finance Payroll and business teams tovalidatecalculations resolve discrepancies and ensureaccurateandtimelypayouts
- Analyzingcompensation and performance data using tools such as Excel and Power BI to generate insights and inform plan design and business decisions
- Translatingcomplex data into clear actionable insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders
- Supportingthecontinuous improvement of compensation frameworks policies and processes particularly within incentive and variable pay structures
- Contributingto annual compensation cycles including merit incentive payouts and structural updates with a focus on plan integrity and consistency
- Providingeducation guidance and trainingto leaders and People & Culture partners on compensation programs plan mechanics and governance requirements
WhatYoullBring to the Team:
- 5 years of experience in compensation withdirect experience in incentive/commission plan design and administration
- Experience supportingcommercial banking retail banking wealth management or other sales-driven environments
- Strong understanding ofplan governance controls and compliance(e.g. approvals eligibility rules documentation audit readiness)
- Demonstrated experiencecalculating and administering complex incentive plans including performance measures and payout models
- Advanced analytical skills includingExcel-based modeling and data manipulation
- Experience withPower BI or other data visualization toolsto support reporting and insights
- Strong business acumen with the ability tobalance technical precision and practical business needs
- Proven ability toinfluence and advise senior stakeholdersin a consultative manner
- Strong communicationskills including the ability tosimplify complex compensation concepts

- Familiarity withfinancial services compensation structures and regulatory considerations
- Experience withcompensation governance frameworks policy development and plan documentation

WhatYoullEarn:
The salary range for this role is$86400 per annum to $106680 per annum. The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications skillspreviousexperience and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program subject to program eligibility requirements.
