Mechanical Engineering Co-op Student

1 position available (8-month term January - August 2027)

for the Langley location

We have ONE opening for an eight-month term Mechanical Engineer Co-op Student for the Engineering Department.This position will be based out of the Langley British Columbia facility and will report to the Director Engineering Langley.

What youll do:

• Creation and updating of Mechanical Drawings in Solidworks.

• Creation and updating of Work Instructions and Manuals in support of the design development and implementation of aircraft modifications and tooling design.

• Assist in the collection of aircraft project data (inspection performance vibration trend analysis) and prepare reports.

• Assist in the creation and amending required manufacturing documentation and data.

• Assisting with First Article Activities for new manufacturing products.

• Assist in the creation and maintenance of documents such as aircraft ICAs ELAs FMS Major Modification reports and engineering reports.

• Record keeping filing and data entry research projects.

• Miscellaneous projects on an as-needed basis.

What skills youll need:

• Working towards a degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering

• Strong communication skills and the ability to prepare detailed technical reports and specifications.

• Strong working knowledge with MS Office AutoCAD and Solidworks.

• Ability to work effectively independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Ability to work on multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment.

Preferred Characteristics:

• Hands-on electrical or mechanical experience is an asset.
