ICOR products are used by individuals in military law enforcement nuclear and security-related sectors and are developed through continuous dialogue with clients to ensure innovative and cost-effective PurposeThe CNC Machinist is responsible for the independent setup operation troubleshooting and optimization of CNC machine tools within a precision manufacturing environment. As an experienced member of the machine shop team the CNC Machinist is expected to interpret engineering drawings develop and optimize machining processes perform complex machine setups and ensure parts are manufactured to specification while maintaining high standards of quality productivity and position requires a strong understanding of CNC machining principles tooling workholding feeds and speeds and precision measurement techniques. The CNC Machinist will play an active role in continuous improvement initiatives process development mentoring less experienced machinists and supporting ICOR Technologys commitment to quality efficiency and on-time - Typical Duties:Independently set up operate and troubleshoot CNC machining centers lathes boring mills and other CNC engineering drawings blueprints CAD models work instructions and specifications to determine machining appropriate tooling workholding cutting parameters and machining sequences to maximize efficiency and first-off inspections and verify dimensions using precision measuring machining operations and make offsets and process adjustments as required to maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish and resolve machining tooling and equipment-related issues with minimal machining processes to improve cycle times quality and overall machine setups tool changes fixture installations and prove-out of new and repeat understand and edit CNC programs preferably using Fanuc controls and Mastercam cad/ with engineering quality and production personnel to resolve manufacturing and provide guidance to junior machinists and machine accurate production and inspection records as routine machine maintenance cleaning lubrication and equipment in continuous improvement activities and provide recommendations for process compliance with all company safety policies procedures and regulatory production schedules while maintaining ICOR Technology quality standards and customer other related duties as and Qualifications RequiredHigh School Diploma or equivalent Apprenticeship Journeyperson Certificate or post-secondary education in Machining Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering Technology is considered an 5 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing or precision machine shop experience performing complete machine setups and running jobs with Fanuc-controlled CNC machines using Mastercam 2025Experience machining a variety of materials including aluminum stainless steel brass plastics and specialty SkillsStrong knowledge of CNC machining processes tooling cutting conditions and workholding to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD& in the use of precision measuring equipment including micrometers calipers bore gauges height gauges indicators and other inspection understanding of machining tolerances fits and surface finish to edit CNC programs and make machine-side program troubleshooting and problem-solving of preventative maintenance practices for CNC machine toolsUnderstanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles Personal AttributesStrong attention to detail and commitment to to work independently with minimal organizational and time-management communication and teamwork to mentor and support less experienced team judgment and decision-making skills in a fast-paced manufacturing regarding work assignments overtime and shift work when RequirementsWorking knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations including to maintaining a safe and organized work follows all company safety policies and procedures.
