Position Summary 

The Signals for Cardiac and Pulmonary Evaluation (SCAPE) study explores the use of wearable technologies to capture physiological signals in individuals living with cardiovascular and/or pulmonary conditions. The study aims to improve early detection monitoring and management of heart and lung disease by comparing sensor data to standard clinical assessments. We are seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator I to oversee and perform on-site clinical assessments for the study. The clinician will ensure accurate collection of heart and lung sounds oversee in-lab sessions maintain participant safety and provide critical clinical expertise that bridges patient care with digital health research.

Duties

  • Lead in-lab study visits across UHN sites supervising clinical assessments and data collection.
  • Perform high-quality auscultation of heart and lung sounds in sitting and supine positions pre- and post-physical activity.
  • Train and oversee study staff in auscultation techniques device setup and adherence to study protocols.
  • Obtain baseline medical history and oversee all study visit activities including test administration questionnaires chart review and documentation of study data.
  • Collaborate with research staff to verify data quality troubleshooting and completeness of physiological recordings.
  • Contribute to study protocol and SOP refinement and process improvement.
  • Prepare and maintain research files complete case report forms record adverse events and support REB applications or amendments as needed.
  • Performs cross-functional and/or other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications :

  • At minimum Bachelors degree or recognized equivalent in a health or science-related discipline required
  • At minimum 3 years clinical and/or professional experience required
  • Up to 1 year clinical research experience preferred
  • Expertise in cardiovascular and pulmonary assessments including auscultation of murmurs wheezes and crackles.
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and professionally across multi-site teams.
  • Excellent communication organization and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency with the use of digital health technologies and wearable monitoring devices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively work with diverse populations.
  • High personal motivation self-management and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office including high degree of proficiency with Excel Canva and data management software applications.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional conduct.
