Position Overview
The Department of Labour Skills and Immigration is seeking a detail-oriented and organizedClerk 2 (ADM03) to provide administrative and data entry support during the implementation of the Agencys new online database system (AMS).
This role will primarily focus on entering client data that was not successfully migrated from the legacy system into AMS. The successful candidate will support operational continuity while Client Support staff focus on assisting clients and employers with AMS account setup and onboarding activities.
The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative capabilities excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently within established procedures and guidelines
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Perform high-volume and accurate data entry into the Agency Management System (AMS)
Review verify and update client information and records
Provide general administrative and clerical support to the department
Prepare organize and file correspondence and documentation
Assist with maintaining office records and filing systems
Prepare expense claims and administrative forms as required
Maintain office supply inventory and petty cash records
Distribute inter-office mail and documents
Respond to inquiries via telephone email and in-person interactions
Follow established policies procedures acts rules and regulations
Exercise judgment in selecting the most appropriate work methods for assigned tasks
Perform additional administrative duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Grade XI education
Minimum two (2) years of related administrative or clerical experience
Equivalent combinations of education training and experience may also be considered
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook)
Ability to handle repetitive tasks with consistency and accuracy
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information
Strong understanding of office administrative procedures
Preferred Experience
Previous experience working within a government or public-sector environment
Experience with database systems records management or data migration projects
Administrative support experience in a fast-paced office setting
