Job Summary



Job Description Summary

The Recovery Technician will be responsible for operating our hybrid units straight truck & bulk tanker while collecting used oil filters and plastics along with part washer services throughout the designated province. The Recovery Technician will require a high level of professionalism and customer service which will be used to consistently build positive customer relationships and to promote GFLs wide range of service offerings.

Key Accountabilities

  • Follows schedules and service orders as required

  • Provides exceptional on-site service to customers and continuously promotes GFLs service offerings

  • Completes service paperwork in accordance with GFL and TDG regulations

  • Operates all required transport equipment safely & ensures regular cleaning and maintenance of truck cab components and other assigned equipment

  • Participates in GFLs safety programs

Requirements

  • Class 1 Drivers License (or provincial equivalent) with a clean driver abstract

  • Ability to work independently

  • Physically able to perform heavy manual labor including moving and handling heavy drums

  • Customer oriented

  • TDG knowledge and experience

  • Self-motivated and positive attitude

  • Experience working in a safety sensitive environment

  • Ability to work out of town and overnight trips up to three days at a time
