We are seeking a Case Manager Non-Occupational Claims to join our BPA team in Vaughan.

The Case Manager Non-Occupational Claims will:
Review disability claims to determine fitness for work and ongoing eligibility and entitlement to benefits based on medical documentation job demands and contractual provisions
In collaboration with the client and treatment providers develop and implement case management plans focused on recovery and timely return to work
Conduct regular assessments to understand the clients ongoing functional abilities recovery and treatment needs
Proactively develop and coordinate RTW programs
Identify barriers impacting recovery or RTW and coordinate expedited health care or rehabilitation services
Prepare and coordinate the transition of cases to Long Term Disability as required
To be successful as a Case Manager Non-Occupational Claims with BPA you will need:
A Bachelors degree or diploma in a health-related field or disability management (CDMP); and
A minimum three years experience in a disability claims adjudication or case management
Strong understanding of medical and mental health conditions and treatments
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
The bbility to multi-task work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong computer skills and experience with claims and disability management systems
Strong assessment and decision-making skills
Strong customer service focus
To be highly organized with strong attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
The ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrate ability to respond effectively to challenging and time-sensitive situations
The ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality in handling confidential medical information
The ability to effectively manage and resolve conflict
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Computer literacy MS Word Excel Outlook etc.
Fluency in Portuguese Spanish and/or Italian (both written and verbal) is an asset

Salary Range
The base salary for this position is between $58000 - $62000 annually.
This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus commission etc). The actual base salary will vary depending on local market conditions geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge skills qualifications experience and education/training.
