Job Summary
MDSearch is recruiting full-time and part-time Cardiologists for a well-established regional cardiology practice in Peterborough Ontario.
This opportunity offers a balanced mix of outpatient consultative and diagnostic cardiology alongside participation in the inpatient cardiology service at the regions Regional Cardiac Centre of Excellence. Physicians enjoy a diverse clinical practice with continuity of care strong administrative support and the flexibility to build a successful practice while maintaining an excellent work-life balance. The Opportunity
Physicians will provide comprehensive outpatient cardiology care while participating in the inpatient cardiology service. Responsibilities include:
- Outpatient cardiology consultations and follow-up care
- Inpatient cardiology consultations and management of hospitalized patients
- Participation in an approximately 1-in-8 shared call schedule
- Collaboration with experienced nurse practitioners and a multidisciplinary care team
Diagnostic Services
The practice offers comprehensive accredited cardiac diagnostic services including:
- Echocardiography
- Stress echocardiography
- Nuclear cardiology
- Exercise stress testing
- Holter monitoring
- Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM)
An experienced operations and administrative team manages the day-to-day clinic operations allowing physicians to focus on patient care.
Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- Independent or Provisional Certificate of Registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
- Royal College Certification in Cardiology (or equivalent)
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
