Job Summary
Forecast Coffee is hiring! We are looking for wonderful full-time and part-time staff to join our team at our Main Street coffee with an extended food menu we are looking for skilled all-rounders with barista cafe and/or baking and food prep experience to join the team.
Forecast Coffee exists to create space to feed the soul igniting our collective passion for each other our community and the outdoors.
About the role
You perform in your role with passion and take upmost care as a representative of our brand andproduct andare motivated to consistently deliver the excellent customer service expected. Whilst providing a positive and inclusive environment for customers and staff our team is accountable for quality service and product in a safe and clean environment.
Responsibilities
- Cash handling
- Following the supervisors daily plan to ensure smooth operations
- Preparing and serving coffeefoodand drinks clearing tablesandwashing dishes
- Baking and decorating Wilder cookie products (training provided to the right candidate)
- Creating a welcomingsafeand inclusive environment for customers.
- Adhering to Food Safe Work Safepolicies and following BC Liquor laws
- Maintain store organisation so product is stored safely and securely.
- Report maintenance issues to Cafe Manager
The Ideal Candidate
- Haspreviouscafé or hospitality experience
- Leads with a positive calm and approachable presence not just tells but shows
- Has solid barista experience and loves great coffee
- Has some basic kitchen experience (food safe practices food preparation ability to follow recipes)
- Has flexible availability we are open from 7amto7pm/7 days a week
- Enjoys providing friendly customer service and giving our locals and visitorsa great experience
- Is a positivehard workerwho wants to build connections within our community and team
Requirements
- Serving It Right certificaterequired
- Food Safe Level 1 an asset
Compensation & Perks
- Starting wage $18.70/hr plus tips paid out weekly
- Free staff meal on 5 hour shifts
