COVID 19 On-Campus Requirements

Prior to May 1 2022 the University required all students faculty staff and visitors (including contractors) to declare their COVID-19 vaccination status and provide proof that they were fully vaccinated or had an approved accommodation to engage in in-person University activities. These requirements were suspended effective May 1 2022 but the University may reinstate them at any point.

Job Summary

A Brief Overview
This position provides subject matter expertise for the procurement process including approving purchase orders confirming proper signing authority developing delivery schedules negotiating terms with suppliers and preparing contracts. This position sources qualified vendors and ensures there is an opportunity for competition for university business. This position develops relationships with internal clients and external suppliers. This position also evaluates vendor performance confirming expectations are met and resolving issues as they occur.

Job Description

What you will do
Provides subject matter expertise for the procurement process including approving purchase orders confirming proper signing authority developing delivery schedules negotiating terms with suppliers and preparing contracts.
Sources qualified vendors and ensures there is an opportunity for competition for university business.
Develops relationships with internal clients and external suppliers.
Acts as a resource to researchers staff students and external partners regarding procurement policies systems and procedures.
Evaluates vendor performance confirming expectations are met and resolving issues as they occur.
Organizes and/or attends workshops and events including annual supplier shows lunch and learn sessions and training sessions.
Prepares a variety of communication materials including presentations debriefs and website information.
Maintains procurement records and files.

Required Education
Four-Year Bachelor Degree or equivalent.

Required Experience
More than 3 years and up to and including 5 years of experience.

Required Licenses and Certifications
Satisfactory Criminal Records Check required.

Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.
