The Analytics Business Intelligence and Knowledge Management team (ABIKM) provides analytical support to programs/services across Quinte Health as well as key strategic quality performance and financial initiatives. The team is composed of experienced professionals who support the organizations data needs including reporting visualization analysis and database management.
Quinte Health is seeking a motivated and analytically driven individual to join the Analytics Business Intelligence and Knowledge Management (ABIKM) team in a temporary full-time capacity. This role will support clinical operational and strategic decision-making through advanced analytics data exploration and insight generation.
The successful candidate will work with complex healthcare data to identify trends support performance improvement initiatives and contribute to the organizations evolving data and analytics environment. The role is well-suited to candidates with education or experience in data science statistics epidemiology analytics computer science health informatics or related disciplines who are interested in applying analytical methods in a healthcare setting.

Required
Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (Data Science Epidemiology Statistics Computer Science Mathematics Engineering Health Informatics Biostatistics Public Health Engineering Business Analytics Science etc.). Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Experience working in a decision support analytics or database management environment. Understanding of statistical and analytical concepts. Strong problem-solving analytical and critical-thinking skills. Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Related co-op internship research or practical project experience is considered an asset. Familiarity with SQL and/or programming languages such as Python or R is considered an asset. Experience with data visualization or reporting tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau) is an asset. Duties
Perform data analysis to support clinical operational and organizational priorities with a primary focus on emergency department performance and flow. Assist with advanced analytics activities including statistical analysis trend analysis and forecasting and predictive or exploratory analytics. Support the development of reports dashboards and analytical products. Interpret and communicate findings in a clear and actionable manner. Work with large and complex datasets from multiple healthcare systems. Identify data quality issues anomalies and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with Data Analysts and technical staff to support ongoing analytics initiatives. Contribute to special projects related to performance measurement patient flow quality improvement and operational planning. Engage in collaborative initiatives with key hospital departments such as IT Finance Clinical Informatics. Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives to foster continuous learning within the team. Other duties as assigned.
