Job Summary
SmartSkin Technologies provides manufacturing optimization solutions globally to the food beverage & pharmaceutical sectors. SmartSkin serves the worlds largest pharmaceutical companies and all major beverage brands with its patented and award-winning Quantifeel sensor and software solutions. While most of our engineering and production activities are undertaken in New Brunswick Canada our global presence is increasing with team members located in major centers in North America and Europe.
Youll work closely with our commercial team to build outreach strategies test new approaches implement tools and establish best practices that will deliver excellence and serve as the foundation to scale this function in the future. This individual will have an immediate impact by owning a new function and delivering results. We are looking for candidates with a builder mindset who can bring forward new ideas while striving for progress not perfection.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and execute outbound prospecting across email phone LinkedIn and emerging channels to generate qualified pipeline
- Conduct high-volume high-quality outreach youre confident on the phone and dont treat the first no as the final answer
- Research and identify target accounts and contacts that fit our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP)
- Advance qualified leads to Account Managers owning the hand-off and direct connection to the prospect.
- Track all activity notes and pipeline in our CRM you keep your data clean and up to date
- Design test and optimize outbound sequences and messaging youll develop what works and kill what doesnt
- Identify patterns in what resonates with prospects and feed insights back to marketing and product
- Monitor and report on KPIs cadence structures and reporting rhythms that will help continue to optimize the BDR function.

Qualifications & Experience
- 2 year of outbound sales BDR/SDR or cold outreach experience (SaaS preferred)
- Demonstrated success hitting or exceeding activity and pipeline targets
- Experience with CRM platforms sales prospecting and lead generation tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication your outreach gets replies
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to make smart decisions without a defined process
- Familiarity with signal-based selling (intent data job change alerts funding triggers)
- Background in building or contributing to sales playbooks or onboarding materials
- Experience selling into manufacturing pharma CPG or industrial verticals
Working Location: This position is ideally based in Fredericton NB with an expected daily in-office presence. However we are open to considering highly qualified candidates located anywhere within Atlantic Canada.
The salary range for this position is $50000 to $65000 per year with placement within the range based on the successful candidates experience qualifications and overall fit for the role.
