Position Summary
The Business Development Manager supports growth for Home Health by identifying qualifying and advancing new business opportunities and strengthening relationships with existing and prospective partners. This role is accountable for building and maintaining relationships with referral sources funders community partners and health system stakeholders; translating client needs into practical solutions; and supporting a disciplined revenue pipeline through CRM documentation follow-up and reporting. The Business Development Manager works closely with operational and clinical leaders to support account growth client satisfaction and continued positioning of ParaMed as a trusted provider of home and community care solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify qualify and pursue new business opportunities by monitoring referral trends market dynamics funder priorities and competitor activity.
- Build territory/account plans that prioritize high-potential referral sources funding partners and community stakeholders.
- Conduct outreach through face-to-face meetings warm and cold calling presentations conference participation and community engagement.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of opportunities ensuring timely follow-up and disciplined movement through the sales cycle.
- Bring market insights and client feedback to leadership to help inform service development positioning and growth priorities.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients funding partners health system stakeholders referral sources and community organizations.
- Prepare tailored engagement plans for meetings and calls focused on understanding client needs and positioning practical solutions.
- Support account growth and retention by identifying client challenges coordinating internal responses and escalating risks or opportunities as needed.
- Partner with operations and program leaders to address service issues support client satisfaction and ensure expectations are clearly understood.
- Maintain regular touchpoints with assigned accounts and document key actions decisions risks and next steps.
- Maintain accurate CRM records including contacts opportunities activities next steps and pipeline stage progression.
- Support achievement of agreed growth and revenue targets for assigned accounts geographies or service lines.
- Prepare pipeline updates account summaries and forecast inputs for business development and operational leadership.
- Contribute to RFP responses presentations proposals and partner-facing materials in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Use data and relationship insights to recommend practical actions that improve conversion retention and account health.
- Work collaboratively with Integrated Care Design Operations Finance Marketing and other internal partners to support growth initiatives.
- Share market funder and client insights with leadership and relevant teams to support service planning and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to a growth-oriented culture by bringing a proactive solutions-focused approach to relationship development and problem solving.
- Keep internal teams informed of changes in market expectations service opportunities and funder/client needs.
Knowledge Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in business administration healthcare healthcare administration marketing finance or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum five (5) years experience in business development sales account management or stakeholder engagement; healthcare home care or community care experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships uncover client needs and support growth through proactive prospecting and account management.
- Experience conducting face-to-face meetings presentations warm and cold outreach and relationship-building activities with clients funders referral sources and/or clinicians.
- Understanding of home and community care and how it fits within the broader health system.
- Experience using CRM systems to document activities manage pipeline and track follow-up actions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint Excel Word and Outlook.
- Solid analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to translate information into business actions.
- Business acumen and the ability to understand market needs client priorities and service positioning.
Technical and Interpersonal Skills
- Strong communication presentation and negotiation skills with the ability to build credibility and trust with stakeholders.
- Ability to manage assigned accounts and opportunities independently while knowing when to escalate risks barriers or strategic opportunities.
- Comfortable using CRM data pipeline reports and client insights to guide priorities and support decision-making.
- Highly organized and proactive with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Solutions-oriented approach to addressing client questions objections service concerns and growth opportunities.
- Collaborative working style with operations clinical finance marketing and leadership teams.
- Ability to support contract renewals proposal development presentations and RFP coordination
