The Business Development Manager is responsible for the pursuit of modular construction projects reporting to the General Manager- Quebec & Ottawa. The role is best aligned for someone whos on a professional selling track and whose experience in consultative selling will allow them to promote ATCOs value proposition in a manner that best aligns with the clients unique needs.
The ideal candidate is goal-oriented driven and a self-starter who embraces the responsibility of achieving high annual financial results for the company. They will develop and lead the pursuit strategy while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to position the company for optimal success.
With a keen eye for identifying and mitigating risks introducing strategic advantages and a solid understanding of contracts the Business Development Manager is a well-rounded communicator and moreover a humble and effective team player.
This will be an in office position based at our La Prairie Quebec branch with the individual being required to travel within the territory as needed.
What You Get to Do:
Manage assigned territory and be responsible for achieving an annual revenue target.
Develop proposals and RFP responses and carry out the life cycle of the pursuit from inception to award.
Review analyze and interpret various forms of construction contracts and associated risk profiling.
Represent the company at industry events trade shows and client meetings.
Track monitor and analyze market trends and conditions and adapt as required.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or technical diploma required. Engineering Design Construction Management or related is preferred. Sales and business-related degrees may also be considered.
5 years of technical sales experience in construction engineering design or related industry preferred.
Has a desire to take accountability and progressively advance a career with a proven industry leader.
Is a high performer who shares ATCOs core values and seeks to be part of a driven team that sets to command the industry and is inspired to win by delivering innovative solutions to the market.
Is an effective communicator who is solution oriented with an entrepreneurial drive and whose relationship building skills enables you to connect with people at all levels in an organization.
Ability to travel within Canada. The ability to travel internationally including the US is an asset.
