The bigger picture
Were looking for an experienced credit professional to join our team as a Business Credit Adjudication this role youll provide independent credit adjudication risk assessment and constructive challenge for complex commercial and agricultural lending requests. Youll help support quality portfolio growth while maintaining strong credit discipline sound underwriting practices and alignment with approved credit policy delegated authorities enterprise risk appetite and regulatory expectations.

How youll be spending your time

  • Independently adjudicating complex and higher-risk commercial and agricultural credit applications renewals amendments and annual reviews.
  • Providing objective second line challenge and balanced risk assessment on lending requests.
  • Reviewing financial information including historical and projected financial statements cash flow liquidity leverage and debt service ability.
  • Assessing collateral security guarantor strength covenant structures environmental risks and other risk mitigation measures.
  • Identifying policy exceptions structural weaknesses deteriorating credit conditions and emerging risks and escalating concerns when appropriate.
  • Preparing clear credit risk recommendations decisions assessments and rationale for business partners and approval authorities.
  • Supporting strong file quality documentation standards adjudication consistency and disciplined application of credit policy.
  • Providing guidance and constructive feedback to business line partners while maintaining the independence of the second line function.

The experience you bring

  • 5 years of experience in commercial and/or agricultural lending credit adjudication or credit risk management.
  • Strong experience in commercial and agricultural financial analysis cash flow analysis collateral assessment and credit adjudication.
  • Strong understanding of lending structures including operating facilities term lending equipment financing real estate lending development financing and specialized agricultural lending arrangements
  • Deep expertise in personal sole proprietor partnership corporate and multi-entity borrowing structures and interpretation of financial statements used for credit decision-making.
  • Experience assessing borrower repayment capacity liquidity leverage collateral security guarantor strength covenant structures and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Strong understanding of agricultural production cycles commodity markets operational risks and industry factors impacting borrower performance.
  • Professional lending or risk management designations and/or certifications would be considered an asset.

Salary Range:

$89250 - $119000 with 13% Short Term Incentive Target

Depending on location of work union membership may be required.
