Must Have

Experience developing enterprise architecture deliverables aligned with Ontario Government EA standards

Proficiency with frameworks such as Zachman Framework TOGAF or similar

Strong understanding of business environments in government settings

Experience with data modeling techniques including ERD and data flow diagrams

Description

Responsibilities

• Analyze government business requirements and define business architecture
• Conduct stakeholder consultations and facilitate workshops
• Develop and maintain business capability models
• Design conceptual and logical business architecture models
• Align business architectures with enterprise standards and strategies
• Develop business architecture documentation aligned with OPS standards
• Support alignment of architecture with solution and information architecture
• Define business processes services functions and performance measures
• Support governance controls and integration of business architectures

General Skills

• Strong experience with business architecture in large enterprise environments
• Experience developing conceptual and logical models
• Experience aligning business architecture with service design and IT strategy
• Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
• Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills

Desirable Skills

• Knowledge of AODA standards and accessibility requirements
• Familiarity with OPS enterprise architecture governance processes
• Experience with enterprise modeling tools such as Power Designer or Sparx EA
• Experience working with service design principles

Business Architecture Experience - 20 percent

• 10 years IT experience with at least 5 years in business architecture
• Experience delivering business architecture for government or large organizations
• Experience developing conceptual and logical models including data models

Development of Business Architecture Artifacts - 20 percent

• Experience designing optimized future-state business architectures
• Experience developing Business Architecture Documents aligned to OPS standards
• Experience aligning business architecture artifacts with solution and information architecture

Business Architecture Design - 30 percent

• Experience with business process modeling BPMN and value chain analysis
• Experience defining business outcomes KPIs and performance measures
• Experience integrating and aligning business architectures
• Experience supporting governance and architecture controls

Business Architecture Alignment - 10 percent

• Experience aligning architecture with existing enterprise solutions and IT products

Communication and Interpersonal Skills - 15 percent

• Strong communication stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and executives

Zachman and OPS Standards - 5 percent

• Knowledge of Zachman framework and OPS enterprise architecture standards
• Familiarity with governance processes and compliance requirements
• Knowledge of privacy records and accessibility standards
