If you share our values and would like to work with skilled professionals Armour is presently seeking a Food & Beverage Building Overview:We are looking for a dedicated Food and Beverage Building Technician to join our growing team in Halifax. This role is essential to the day-to-day operations and maintenance of multiple food and beverage establishments across the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) including locations in downtown Halifax Bedford and Dartmouth. You will be responsible for ensuring that HVAC systems and kitchen equipment are operating smoothly across multiple sites. The role requires flexibility with occasional evening and weekend you will be doing:Assisting in the general operations and maintenance of HVAC and kitchen equipment systems in various food and beverage to internal client requests and providing timely support to ensure minimal downtime of in and executing preventive maintenance programs to extend the life of equipment and avoiding operational and investigating utility anomalies and equipment issues; liaising with contractors and vendors when an inventory of spare parts and consumables ensuring readiness for urgent compliance with all relevant legislation and policies particularly related to exhaust hood and duct cleaning and performing regular and implementing preventative maintenance protocols in consideration of operational hours and peak positive relationships with internal clients and contractors ensuring effective communication and were looking for:Minimum of 2-5 years of experience with HVAC systems ideally in food service or kitchen equipment understanding of kitchen equipment maintenance including HVAC systems and related relationship-building skills and a collaborative approach with team members and to manage time effectively prioritizing tasks based on urgency and operational needs.A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within the managing contractors and ensuring compliance with industry standards and to work occasional evenings and weekends as in it for youComprehensive Health and Dental BenefitsEmployer RRSP planEmployee Assistance ProgramContinuing education supportDiscounts at selected Freehand restaurantsOn-site fitness facilitiesOpportunity for internal career growthWorking along side a collaborative team of likeminded individualsAn opportunity to be a key member of a growing and dynamic team.A supportive environment that fosters learning and professional to a variety of business issues and opportunities for advancement within the Armour Group is a family organization we value our employees and their well-being.
