Job Summary

About the Job:

Join our finance team as a Bookkeeper and play a key role in keeping our financial operations running smoothly and this dynamic position youll manage Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable and Payroll processes while ensuring accuracy across financial records and reports. Youll collaborate closely with the Finance Manager and CFO contributing to month-end processes audits and overall financial sustainability.

What Youll Do:

  • Administers Accounts Receivable Accounts Payable and Payroll processes by coding recording posting processing and reconciling transactions.
  • Ensures accuracy and completeness of various accounting summaries and financial reports.
  • Assists in preparation for month-end and annual audits to support the Finance Manager and CFO in maintaining the financial sustainability of the organization
  • Produces financial statements budgets and other financial reports.

  • Interior Community Services is a Municipal Pension Plan (MPP) employer. temporary full-time employees entitlement to MPP is determined after 1 year of continuous service in the role. If the candidate is already a contributing member then enrollment is on hire.


What You Bring:

  • 2 years of post-secondary education in Bookkeeping or Accounting
  • 2 years of recent related experience in AP AR and Payroll
  • Or equivalent combination of education training and experience


Your Unique Qualities:

Demonstrated working knowledge of and strong abilities in:

  • Accounting principles
  • Financial software systems
  • Microsoft Office programs including Excel Word Outlook and Teams
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Communication skills both verbal and written
  • Responding to staff and vendors in an accurate timely and professional manner
  • Working effectively as part of a team and independently with little supervision
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Effectively handle multiple demands from various channels


Your Unique Requirements:

  • The following training isrequiredand provided to the successful candidate free of charge. Existing certification is an asset: Mandt-RAbuse and Neglect Awareness trainingAnti-Bullying and Harassment.

STATUS: Temp Full-Time

TERM: 12 months or until the return of the incumbent

HOURS of WORK: 37.5 hours per week

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday flexible hours

REPORTS TO: Finance Manager

COMPENSATION: $25.95 - $29.76 per hour (Grid 10 as per collective agreement compensation subject to recently ratified wage increases not yet implemented)
