What youll do
Surface Preparation:Perform abrasive blasting on pipes spools and steel components to meet required surface preparation standards ensuring surfaces are clean and properly profiled for rubber lining.
Inspection & Quality Control:Inspect blasted surfaces daily to verify cleanliness and profile quality prior to rubber lining ensuring production standards are met.
Equipment Operation & Maintenance:Safely and efficiently operate blasting equipment including blast pots air systems and recovery systems; maintain equipment and keep the blasting area clean and organized.
Material Handling & Coordination:Stage move and handle materials before and after blasting; collaborate closely with the rubber lining team to meet production priorities and deadlines.

What youll bring
Must-haves:
Experience or willingness to work in physically demanding environments comfortable wearing PPE and air supply helmets throughout the shift.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in surface preparation and inspection.
Ability to safely operate and maintain abrasive blasting equipment.
Reliable team player with good communication skills to coordinate with rubber lining and production teams.
Nice-to-haves:
Previous experience in blasting or industrial surface preparation.
Familiarity with safety procedures and containment practices in abrasive blasting environments.
Experience applying adhesives for rubber lining.
Ability to adapt to shift work including early mornings and late-night schedules.

Compensation - $33.51/hr

This posting is for an existing vacancy.
Employees will be hired on a temp-to-perm basis meaning they are hired for a 6 month contract and would be eligible for permanent employment after the 6 month training/probationary period.
