Position Summary

Our client located in the east of GTA is seeking an experienced and proactive Bilingual Senior HR Generalist to support the organizations human resources functions across multiple locations. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees providing expertise in employee relations recruitment performance management policy administration compliance training and HR best practices. This role requires strong communication skills in both English and French sound judgment and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations & HR Support

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for managers and employees regarding workplace issues policies procedures and employment matters.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers on employee relations performance management attendance management conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and support resolution of employee concerns while ensuring compliance with applicable legislation.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture that aligns with company values and business objectives.

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts for salaried technical operational and administrative positions.
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop job descriptions recruitment strategies and interview processes.
  • Coordinate candidate screening interviews reference checks and employment offers.
  • Support onboarding activities to ensure a positive new hire experience.

Performance Management & Employee Development

  • Assist managers with goal setting performance reviews performance improvement plans and employee development initiatives.
  • Identify training and development needs and coordinate learning opportunities.
  • Support succession planning and talent management programs.

HR Compliance & Policy Administration

  • Ensure compliance with provincial and federal employment legislation human rights legislation occupational health and safety requirements and company policies.
  • Maintain and update HR policies procedures and employee handbook materials.
  • Support audits reporting requirements and HR record management.
  • Monitor legislative changes and recommend policy updates as required.

Compensation Benefits & HR Administration

  • Assist with compensation reviews salary administration and market benchmarking activities.
  • Support employee benefits administration and respond to employee inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate employee records within HRIS systems.
  • Prepare HR reports metrics and workforce analytics to support business decisions.

Health Safety & Workplace Programs

  • Partner with leadership to support health and safety initiatives and return-to-work programs.
  • Participate in workplace accommodation processes and disability management.
  • Promote employee wellness and engagement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree or diploma in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field.
  • CHRP CHRL CPHR or equivalent HR designation preferred.
  • Minimum 5 7 years of progressive Human Resources experience in a Generalist or Senior HR Generalist capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting employees and managers across multiple Canadian provinces including Ontario Qu bec Alberta British Columbia and other jurisdictions.
  • Strong working knowledge of provincial employment standards labour legislation human rights legislation workplace safety requirements and leave provisions across multiple provinces.
  • Experience providing HR support to geographically dispersed and remote workforces.
  • Proven experience managing employee relations matters workplace investigations performance management accommodations disability management and terminations in a multi-jurisdictional environment.
  • Experience supporting operations within service construction manufacturing distribution field service or industrial environments is considered a strong asset.
  • Experience partnering with leaders across multiple locations to ensure consistent application of HR policies and practices while maintaining compliance with provincial legislation.

Working Conditions

  • Combination of office-based work and occasional visits to operational locations.
  • Ability to travel periodically between company sites as required.
  • Occasional flexibility in work hours to support business needs.
