BCs Office of the Human Rights Commissioner (BCOHRC) exists to address the root causes of inequality discrimination and injustice in B.C. by shifting laws policies practices and cultures. We do this work through education research advocacy inquiry and monitoring.

Reporting to the Manager Engagement the Engagement Advisor is responsible for implementing a provincial engagement plan at the regional level using a human rights-based approach and decolonizing principles ensuring alignment with the Education and Engagement departments and BCOHRCs strategic priorities. The Engagement Advisor builds and maintains relationships with communities and stakeholders in the non-profit public Indigenous and private sectors and builds public access to human rights materials and processes in the province.
