WHATS THE JOB

We are looking for a talented passionate and dependable Baker / Pastry Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in baking and pastry preparation takes pride in quality and presentation and enjoys working in a fast-paced professional kitchen.

Your work will include:

• Prepare and bake a variety of breads pastries desserts cakes and other baked goods
• Develop and execute daily baking and dessert menus.
• Preparing and baking goods from scratch
• Restocking pastry shelves and maintaining a sufficient and fresh supply of baked goods
• Maintain consistent quality flavour freshness and presentation.
• Ensuring consistent quality standard in over-all food preparation as per clients requirements including consideration to special dietary constraints
• Complying with food hygiene regulations in accordance with Food Safety Act
• Cleaning washing and sanitizing equipment and over-all work area

Qualifications :

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Minimum 3 years baking experience in a restaurant or hotel/institutional environment
• Proven experience preparing baked goods for large number of guests
• Ability to stand for a long period of time and lift up to 35 pounds
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques pastry preparation and dessert presentation.
