B-Pressure Welder with Rig

Essential Responsibilities:

• Perform pressure welding on piping systems in accordance with ABSA codes WPS and project specifications

• Execute SMAW (stick) and GTAW (tig) welding on carbon steel piping for industrial applications

• Read and interpret P&IDs isometrics welding procedures and drawings to ensure accurate work

• Complete fit-up root pass fill and cap welding to meet quality and code requirements

• Support rigging and positioning of pipe using appropriate equipment and safe practices

• Complete FLHAs and follow all site safety procedures including hot work permits and lockout/tagout

• Maintain welding rig tools and consumables to ensure safe and efficient operation on site

• Complete tasks safely efficiently and within project deadlines following Ledcors high standards for safety and quality

Qualifications:

• Journeyperson Welder ticket from a recognized provincial training authority

• Alberta BPressure Welder Certification

• CWB Welder Certification

• Provide current DSP (Direct Service Provider) documentation

• Previous experience in industrial construction/maintenance facility pipeline or pipeline maintenance is required

• Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing

• Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies

• Valid drivers license

Work Conditions:

• Applicants who reside in Fort McMurray will be given preference due to the location of the project

• Camp accommodations available

• Living out allowance available

• 14 days on 7 days off shift rotation working 12 hours per day

• Must be able to work day or night shifts
