Role Overview
The Azure Solution Architect (Application-Focused) is responsible for designing and implementing scalable secure and resilient cloud-native application solutions on Microsoft Azure. This role focuses on application architecture microservices API design integration patterns DevOps practices and cloud modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will collaborate with development infrastructure and DevOps teams to drive enterprise-grade cloud transformation programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design scalable secure and highly available application architectures on Microsoft Azure.
- Define and execute application modernization strategies including migration from monolithic architectures to microservices-based solutions.
- Architect cloud-native solutions leveraging Azure PaaS services and container platforms.
- Design RESTful APIs event-driven architectures and enterprise integration patterns.
- Ensure solutions adhere to best practices for resilience scalability fault tolerance performance and security.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to implement architecture standards and design patterns.
- Work with DevOps teams to establish CI/CD pipelines release automation and deployment strategies.
- Evaluate and recommend Azure services including App Services AKS Azure Functions Logic Apps Service Bus and Event Grid.
- Conduct architecture reviews design reviews and technical governance activities.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
