Azure Cloud Architect

Location: Calgary AB Work Style: 100% Onsite (5 days/week) Delivery Environment: Agile or Waterfall Skills: Digital SAP Cloud Architecture Experience Required: 10 years as a Cloud Architect including onprem to cloud migration

We are seeking a Microsoft Azurequalified Cloud Architect to create a fiveyear Data Centre roadmap that supports hardware planning vendor alignment budgeting accuracy business continuity and security planning. The architect will assess the current environment define a migration strategy and produce a complete TCO model for cloud computing.

• Assess existing data center environment (server estate hardware lifecycle inputs)
  

• Engage stakeholders to understand business drivers future requirements and constraints
  

• Perform network assessment to support onprem cloud migration
  

• Define and document a migration strategy aligned with Microsoft best practices
  

• Produce a 5year Data Centre roadmap with sequencing options and decision points
  

• Build a 5year TCO model for cloud computing
  

• Ensure roadmap is actionable and aligned with Microsoft best practices
  

• Evaluate whether colocation should be part of the roadmap
  

• Provide colocation options based on risk and cost
  

• Include network design/performance considerations
  

• Apply prior onprem virtualization experience to recommend targetstate architecture and migration pathways

• Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ305)
  

• Minimum 5 years of Data Centre planning and roadmapping experience (including 5year TCO creation)
  

• Proven experience performing network assessments for onprem cloud migration
  

• Demonstrated ability to create cloud migration strategies
  

• Experience with onprem virtualization
  

• Prior experience delivering roadmap modernization and TCOfocused engagements
  

• Support for data center hardware procurement aligned to governance
  

• Experience preparing/assisting with RFPs and vendor selection processes
  

• Strong analytical and problemsolving ability
  

• Excellent stakeholder communication
  

• Ability to work in crossfunctional teams
  

• Strong documentation and presentation skills
  

• Client will provide required Microsoft licenses
  

• Planning assumptions include 26 active corporate servers in the data center
  

The Cloud Architect will collaborate with Client stakeholders to gather requirements validate assumptions and produce roadmap/TCO outputs suitable for budgeting and planning.
