About the Opportunity

An established aerospace and Defence organization is seeking a AVS Program Representative to serve as the on-site liaison within the Department of National Defence (DND) offices in Gatineau.

This role supports the coordination and administration of program activities between the organization and DND stakeholders to ensure effective communication contract alignment and operational continuity. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day interface support with government representatives assist with program coordination activities and facilitate the flow of information between the customer and internal program leadership.

The position helps ensure that program deliverables priorities and administrative requirements are clearly communicated coordinated and supported in a secure Defence environment.

Key Responsibilities
Client Liaison & Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact within the DND offices for day-to-day program coordination activities.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with DND personnel and key government stakeholders.
  • Facilitate communication between the customer and internal program teams.
  • Ensure timely exchange of information related to program priorities deliverables and operational activities.
Program Coordination
  • Coordinate activities between internal teams and customer stakeholders.
  • Monitor program updates customer requests action items and ongoing priorities.
  • Communicate customer requirements and updates to internal program leadership.
  • Assist in planning coordinating and supporting meetings briefings and program reviews.
  • Track action items to completion and ensure appropriate follow-up.
Contract & Operational Support
  • Assist with tracking program requirements deliverables schedules and documentation.
  • Verify customer requests and coordinate with appropriate technical and program teams.
  • Support resolution of operational issues through collaboration with program management and technical specialists.
  • Help ensure contractual obligations and customer expectations remain aligned.
Reporting & Documentation
  • Prepare summaries of meetings discussions customer requests and action items.
  • Provide regular status updates to program leadership and customer representatives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation supporting ongoing program activities.
  • Assist with the development of reports presentations and communication materials.
Compliance & Security
  • Adhere to all Department of National Defence security confidentiality and access requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and applicable government contract requirements.
  • Support secure handling of information within a Defence environment.
Qualifications
  • Engineering or Technology degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience supporting the Department of National Defence (DND) or other federal government organizations.
  • Experience supporting Defence programs or government contracts.
  • Experience coordinating activities between government agencies and contractor organizations.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience working with the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF).
  • Experience working with military air platforms.
  • Experience with the CF-18 platform or comparable military aircraft.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced highly regulated environment.
  • Bilingual in English and French.
Preferred
  • Experience serving as an embedded customer representative or on-site liaison.
  • Aerospace and Defence program management experience.
  • Active Government of Canada security clearance.
  • Experience working with aircraft sustainment or in-service support programs.
