Assurance Manager

TalentCompass is seeking an experienced Assurance Manager for our valued client based in Southwest Edmonton. This is a full-time permanent hybrid role.

In this role you will lead client engagements support team development and deliver high-quality service to a diverse portfolio of private and not-for-profit clients across Alberta. Responsibilities:

• Plan supervise and execute assurance engagements for private and not-for-profit clients ensuring compliance with professional standards and policies
• Review financial statements and working papers ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Manage multiple engagements and deadlines ensuring quality and efficiency
• Deliver industry and technical expertise in audit and assurance through client interactions reports technical work management presentations and high-quality deliverables
• Accountable for engagement planning and scheduling as well as project financials (i.e. budgets WIPS timely billing collection variance recognition)
• Maintain quality control and apply specialized knowledge to anticipate identify and address issues relevant to the clients business financial entries and reports

Qualifications:

• CPA designation
• 4 years of public accounting experience with a focus on assurance engagements
• Strong technical knowledge of ASPE
• Strong understanding of business accounting management and practice development principles
• Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines
• Strong organizational analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and relationship-building abilities
