Steps away from the main public transit station What we offer:Highly competitive compensation package which includes base salary bonus benefits and career advancement opportunities! *Eligibility for benefits is dependent on the terms of employment How you will contribute: Run mortgage system queries to identify 1103 cash clearing postingsDownload and review all 1103 cash clearing entries posted to trust account dailyReconcile 1103 general ledger entries to mortgage system transactionsPrepare daily reconciliation report identifying reconciliation itemsFollow up daily with staff to clear outstanding reconciliation itemsSave copies of daily reconciliations as pdfs for audit purposesRetain daily 1103 reconciliation record until annual audit completeProduce daily advance query and post to resulting general ledger accountsSet up and transfer funds from/to general and trust account dailyReconcile and prepare remittance report of mortgage insurance premiums weeklyFollow up with insurers if refund due on cancelled loansComplete other GL reconciliations as assignedAdhere to policies /procedures to ensure AML requirements are met when applicableOther duties as assigned by managerThe experience you need: Post secondary education with a focus in Accounting and/or equivalent work experience preferredStrong analytical and reconciliation skillsStrong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitaskStrong communication skillsWorking Environment and Physical Demands Analysis:Office environmentPeriods of high volume with tight timelinesLong periods of stationary position/sittingProlonged periods of repetitive movement (i.e. using a keyboard and mouse)Long periods of time in viewing a computer screenMulti-tasking may include speaking to customers on a telephone call while looking up information on a computer join First NationalCompetitive Compensation Comprehensive benefits program (i.e. Health Spending Account Maternity and Parental Leave Top Up)Extensive training programs to set our employees up for success Modern office environment conducive to collaborationSupportive teamwork culture Opportunities to give back to the communities and work through events focused on a variety of charities Ongoing social events throughout the yearThe team youll join:Founded in 1988 First National is one of Canadas largest non-bank lenders.
