Role Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Assembler I to join our manufacturing team on the afternoon this role you will perform mechanical and electrical assembly of products and subassemblies build wire harnesses read schematics and assembly instructions and support inventory and shipping activities. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to quality safety and continuous improvement.

Shift: 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM

Key Responsibilities

Assembly & Production

  • Perform mechanical assembly of electrical assemblies and subassemblies.

  • Install and mount components within electrical enclosures and panels.

  • Perform mechanical operations including drilling tapping punching and fastening.

  • Assemble route crimp tie and install wire harnesses and cables.

  • Wire electrical control panels and subassemblies using engineering drawings schematics and work instructions.

  • Read and interpret assembly drawings wiring diagrams and production documentation.

  • Identify diagnose and correct wiring and assembly issues discovered during inspection or testing.

  • Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis activities to resolve product or customer concerns.

Inventory & Material Handling

  • Prepare finished products for shipment including packaging and final inspections.

  • Move materials between production and warehouse locations.

  • Perform inventory transactions and transfers within SAP.

  • Maintain accurate work-in-process (WIP) inventory records.

  • Provide production kits and supporting documentation to manufacturing lines.

  • Tag segregate and transfer nonconforming materials to designated locations.

  • Issue Quality Escape Reports (QERs) as required.

Quality Safety & Continuous Improvement

  • Follow all assembly processes quality standards and workmanship requirements.

  • Maintain organized workstations and support Lean manufacturing initiatives including 5S activities.

  • Wear and properly utilize anti-static protection when handling sensitive electronic components.

  • Work safely and comply with all Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) requirements.

  • Report safety incidents hazards or injuries promptly.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production challenges.

  • Adhere to all company policies procedures and quality management system requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and assembly procedures.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive movements.

  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 35 lbs.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education training or experience in Electrical Engineering Electrical Technology or a related field.

  • Experience with electrical or electromechanical assembly.

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics wiring diagrams and assembly drawings.

  • Experience building wire harnesses and wiring control panels.

  • SAP or ERP system experience.

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Flexibility to work in different production areas as business needs require.
