ABOUT US:
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Pipefitter plays a vital role in mounting majors and assembling small-bore and large-bore piping systems according to drawings on various skidded packages. Reporting to the Assembly Supervisor work is completed by reading and interpreting P&IDs GAs and Piping Specifications. Additionally they may mentor apprentices for skill development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Registered 3rd or 4th year Apprentice or Journeyperson Pipefitter
- 1-2 years of previous experience working in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
- A team player with good organizational skills and excellent communication skills
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI):
ASSEMBLY
- Installation and placement of major equipment.
- Installation and support of spooling.
- Skid layout for small bore piping.
- Fitting of the socket and screwed small bore pipe.
- Read interpret and red-line construction drawings and blueprints (Isometrics P&IDs G.A.s)
- Tack welding experience is an asset
