We are the first line of defence in our organization focused on managing and mitigating risk. We partner with leadership to develop risk culture define strategy and deliver the tools insights and expertise needed to make confident risk-aware decisions. Our work supports the broader Technology and Enterprise strategies and were transforming!

We are building a shared service Line 1B function that performs control testing on behalf of Line 1. The team provides objective riskbased testing across cybersecurity infrastructure cloud data platforms and operational technology domains. This work strengthens firstline accountability enhances transparency and supports alignment with regulatory expectations including the OSFI E21 Operational Risk and Resilience Guideline.

Position Responsibilities:

You will support this new function through the execution of the control testing program and contribute to how Global Technology understands control performance and manages technology and cyber risk. This role is a hands-on technical analyst responsible for control testing and supporting continuous control monitoring.

Execute a Risk-Based Control Testing Program

  • Execute standardized risk-based Line 1 control testing across technology domains.

  • Support scoping population validation and sample selection.

  • Perform test procedures including evidence collection and evaluation.

  • Document test results conclusions and supporting evidence in accordance with testing standards.

  • Identify control gaps and escalate issues to managers.

Support Modernization of Control Testing

  • Use data tools and analytics to support efficient test execution.

  • Contribute to continuous monitoring and automation initiatives.

  • Identify opportunities to improve testing consistency and efficiency.

Support Reporting and Insights

  • Contribute to weekly and monthly dashboards scorecards and reporting key operational metrics.

Collaborate Across Teams

  • Partner with control owners to gather evidence and clarify processes.

  • Work with global team members to support consistent execution.

  • Provide timely updates on testing progress and issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • You dont need to check every box but if you bring many of these qualifications and are eager to grow we want to hear from you:

  • 2 years of experience in Audit Technology Risk Information Security Operational Risk or related field within a global financial services organization.

  • Professional designation preferred (e.g. CPA CIA CISA) and university degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science Information Technology Business or related field.

  • Strong control testing capability with the ability to document results clearly.

  • Familiarity with key control frameworks and their application to technology environments.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to data analytics or reporting tools (e.g. Excel Power BI).

  • Experience with GRC tools (e.g. Archer).

Salary range is expected to be between

$86100.00 CAD - $136100.00 CAD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
