About the Role

• Design and deploy advanced AI/ML solutions for enterprise clients
• Architect scalable AI systems grounded in strong mathematical rigor
• Translate complex business requirements into production-ready AI pipelines
• Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive AI strategy

Key Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end AI/ML pipelines (data ingestion model training evaluation deployment)
• Design and implement LLM integrations RAG architectures and generative AI workflows
• Develop deep learning and statistical models for structured and unstructured data
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure high-quality data pipelines
• Establish AI governance frameworks (monitoring bias detection explainability)
• Evaluate AI frameworks platforms and infrastructure for scalability
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers
• Document architecture decisions model behavior and deployment designs
• Translate advanced mathematical/statistical concepts into production systems
• Present AI strategies and insights to technical and business stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• PhD in Mathematics or Statistics
• 5 years experience designing and deploying production AI/ML systems
• Strong expertise in PyTorch TensorFlow or JAX
• Advanced Python skills (Scala/Spark is a plus)
• Strong experience with LLMs transformer architectures and prompt engineering
• Experience with MLOps tools (MLflow Kubeflow SageMaker Vertex AI)
• Experience with AWS Azure or GCP
• Strong ability to translate academic models into scalable systems
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills
• Must be Canadian PR or Citizen

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Experience with agentic AI frameworks (LangChain LlamaIndex AutoGen CrewAI)
• Experience with vector databases (Pinecone Weaviate pgvector Qdrant)
• Knowledge of responsible AI model governance and risk frameworks
• Experience in regulated industries (finance healthcare government)
• Published research or patents in AI/ML/statistics
• Experience with real-time inference or edge deployments
