As a Senior Value Management Advisor the consultant acts as a specialist and subject matter expert in benefits management. They design and implement value management practices support teams in documenting value initiatives and optimize prioritization processes and tools across platforms.
The advisor ensures the application of best practices and promotes alignment between platforms. They also act as a transformation agent by facilitating the adoption of benefits management practices and supporting both technology and business teams in their practical implementation.
Main Responsibilities:
Establish and structure benefits management and prioritization practices across platforms
Define together with business and technology teams the expected benefits of strategic initiatives and ensure traceability
Support platforms in implementing value-based prioritization mechanisms (e.g. WSJF)
Guide teams in integrating practices into existing operating models
Facilitate the adoption of practices through workshops coaching and team support
Understand organizational issues resistance and challenges and adapt support accordingly
Assess platform maturity and recommend concrete improvements
Expected Deliverables:
Definition and structuring of benefits (value indicators measurable outcomes strategic alignment)
Implementation of tailored prioritization frameworks including criteria weighting and decision-making mechanisms
Creation of guides templates and value management tools
Facilitation of prioritization and value-definition workshops
Hands-on support for teams to ensure real adoption of practices
Recommendations for improvement based on organizational maturity
Requirements
Key Skills Required:
Ability to influence without direct authority
Facilitation of prioritization workshops (WSJF or equivalent)
Ability to translate benefits and strategy into measurable value
Systems thinking and understanding of complex organizational challenges
Ability to mobilize and engage multidisciplinary teams
Excellent communication and ability to simplify complex concepts
Action-oriented mindset and adaptability
Required Knowledge and Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
Experience in benefits management and prioritization
Expertise in SAFe and WSJF
Experience in advisory roles within project or transformation environments
Experience in coaching and/or mentoring
Strong understanding of Agile principles
Certifications such as PMI-ACP SAFe SPC CDAP or equivalent
Proficiency in Agile Lean and DevOps environments
Knowledge of Jira Confluence and SharePoint
