Role Summary:
The Driver Coordinatoris the main point of contact between the backbone of the transportation industry (our AZ Drivers) and the organization. This role is responsible for effectively coordinating a group of drivers to success through continual communication from the shipment pick-up to delivery and ensuring the appropriate internal departments (i.e. Customer Service Breakdown Customs) are aware of any updates.
Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday 3:30pm - 12:00pm

Key Accountabilities:
In this role you will:
- Planning trucks effectively to reduce empty miles; managing the empty miles ratios
- Dispatches trucks on planned loads; tracks dispatched trucks on a daily basis to ensure on-time performance
- Works with Driver Coordinators to achieve driver needs and goals
- Implement efficient equipment utilization
- Monitors and maintains customer trailer pools
- Responds to and resolving driver inquiries in a professional and respectful manner.
- Assists Customer Service Department with any customer inquiries regarding the shipment.
- Ensures the dispatch plan is executed effectively and collaborates with our Planners on redesign.
- Participates in driver retention initiatives including data collection root cause analysis and mediation.
- Ensures integrity of data in our system including ETAs driver availability projected late shipments etc.
- Performs other duties as required

- Prior experience in a dispatching role is ideal.
- Experience in the transportation industry is an asset.

- Able to evaluate information determine practical solutions and take initiative.
- Self-motivated well-organized and able to manage time effectively with minimal supervision.
- Positive enthusiastic and naturally curious with an appreciation for continuous learning and growth.
