About the role:

Reporting to theEVRs Director of Regulatory & Government Affairs this role supports EVRs government relations and advocacy work at the provincial and federal level.

To be successfulwe are looking for someone witha strong understanding of B.C.s mining sector exceptional writing and interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to build relationships with government.

In this role you will:
  • Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
  • Monitor provincial and federal policy activities for potential impacts or opportunities related to EVRs business priorities
  • Develop briefing notes backgrounders position statements and other policy-related content to support senior leader meetings with officials industry associations or other stakeholders
  • Co-ordinate various government submissions and information requests
  • Collaborate with other team members in Communications Indigenous Relations Projects Environmental Performance and Marketing with respect to monitoring and assessing policy changes and their potential impact on EVRs business
  • Oversee EVRs provincial and federal lobbyist reporting requirements
  • Represent EVR in industry and government committees whenrequired

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidates relevant experience skills and competencies and considers internal equity.
