About this position
The Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining configuring and ensuring the reliable operation of computer systems and servers across both local and cloud environments. Install and support hardware and software and contribute to ongoing research and development to keep the organizations technology aligned with evolving business needs. The role also involves proactively troubleshooting and resolving system issues to minimize downtime and maintain smooth uninterrupted operations throughout the company.
Reporting to: Senior Manager Cybersecurity and Information Technology
Please note this position is fully on-site and requires in-office attendance five (5) days per week.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Must be able to perform but not be limited to the following duties and responsibilities:
Responsible for the maintenance configuration and reliable operation of computer systems and network servers
Support and implement new physical and Virtual Servers
Manage and maintain data backup and recovery services
Provide Active Directory and Office 365/Azure administrative duties and support
Support RDS environment
Provision iPads using multiple MDMs (Intune Meraki M3)
Provide end user mobile device support for Android and IOS
Provide assistance and maintain Qualys and Defender for security vulnerabilities and AUM for patch management of servers and workstations.
Perform daily monitoring of systems server resources application logs and documentation of day to day operations
Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
Provide end user support (applications laptops/desktops) (Tier 2)
Provide backup support at other Company sites as required
Prepare & maintain accurate documentation based on corporate standards
Provide remote computer support and periodic On-Call support during non-business hours
Travel and overtime as required
Other related duties as assigned
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Include but not limited to the following minimum skills and qualifications:
Post Secondary Education (3 years)
Three (3) years of previous experience
Working knowledge of Active Directory Exchange Online Office 365 Entra ID Intune Defender Microsoft Windows services (DNS DHCP WINS IIS FTPSMTP SNMP)
In-Depth knowledge of VMware Windows Server
Working knowledge of Backup software Desktop Computers Windows desktop operating systems and Desktop Software including MS Office
Knowledge of IT best practices change management ITIL
PowerShell Scripting
Experience with MDMs (Meraki Intune)
Solid organizational skills problem solving skills and decision-making skills
Must possess superior interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
High degree of confidentiality a must
Must be adept at managing priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision
Must be willing to travel
Ability to speak Inuktitut/English French/English an asset.
Ability to obtain and retain an Airport Restricted Area Identity Card in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada.
