Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager Finance Operations the Accountant is responsible for day-to-day accounting and finance operations.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Reconciles all bank accounts daily (corporate mortgage deposit.
  • Facilitates daily wires and EFT files and process daily bank deposits.
  • Prepare account reconciliations for month end including analyzing general ledger accounts.
  • Assists in month-end closing process.
  • Assists in year-end and/or quarterly reviews.
  • Assists with preparing/providing information for ad hoc requests.
  • Provides coverage for peers as required
  • Assist Accounts Payable by reviewing verifying and processing vendor invoices in accordance with company policies
  • Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors via checks EFT and wire transfers
  • Assisting with OpEx analysis report and exchange rate updates
  • The position must focus to complete the following tasks that include Reconciling accounts analyzing data preparing reports and communication with internal and external parties over the phone

Qualifications & Experience:

Degree Diplomas & Certifications:

  • The position requires a bachelors degree in business and/or equivalent work experience

Years and Range of Experience Required to Perform the Job:

  • The position requires at least 2 years of relevant experience including superior Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to learn quickly and to work under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central and Alteryx is an asset.
  • The position requires strong written and verbal communication skills and exceptional organization and time management skills.

  • The position solves routine problems based on procedures and standard accounting
