As a Senior Accountant you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting for both our corporate and project entities. Working hands-on with our Controller and a dynamic finance team you will:
- Manage month- and year-end close processesto meet tight deadlines
- Prepare complex reconciliations; investigate and resolve variances
- Maintain general ledger integrity including journal entries and supporting documentation
- Prepare complete and accurate monthly/annual financial statements(GAAP)
- Support internal and external audits preparing robust schedules and documentation
- Assist with tax filings and complianceunder the direction of finance leadership
- Support budgeting and forecastingthrough data gathering review and variance analysis
- Partner with project teamsfor accurate cost tracking and reporting
- Identify and recommend improvementsrelated to accounting controls and processes
- Contribute to systems/process streamlining automation and best practices
- Drive ongoing enhancementsin finance operations and cross-functional collaboration
- Bachelors degreein Accounting Finance or a related field
- CPA designation(or in progress) preferred
- 4-6 years progressive accounting experience; real estate/construction experience a strong asset
- Strong working knowledge ofGAAP
- Proven experience maintaining financial records and preparing reports
- Solid understanding ofinternal controls tax and compliance
- Skilled invariance analysisand communicating financial results
- Proficient in accounting software(Sage QuickBooks TimberScan ERP systems)
- Advanced Excelessential; Power BI or other reporting tools a plus
- Organized detail-oriented and adept at managing multiple priorities
- Collaborative and proactive team player with exceptional communication skills
