What Youll Be Doing
As a Senior Accountant you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting for both our corporate and project entities. Working hands-on with our Controller and a dynamic finance team you will:
Manage month- and year-end close processesto meet tight deadlines
Prepare complex reconciliations; investigate and resolve variances
Maintain general ledger integrity including journal entries and supporting documentation
Prepare complete and accurate monthly/annual financial statements(GAAP)
Support internal and external audits preparing robust schedules and documentation
Assist with tax filings and complianceunder the direction of finance leadership
Support budgeting and forecastingthrough data gathering review and variance analysis
Partner with project teamsfor accurate cost tracking and reporting
Identify and recommend improvementsrelated to accounting controls and processes
Contribute to systems/process streamlining automation and best practices
Drive ongoing enhancementsin finance operations and cross-functional collaboration
What You Bring
Bachelors degreein Accounting Finance or a related field
CPA designation(or in progress) preferred
4-6 years progressive accounting experience; real estate/construction experience a strong asset
Strong working knowledge ofGAAP
Proven experience maintaining financial records and preparing reports
Solid understanding ofinternal controls tax and compliance
Proficient in accounting software(Sage QuickBooks TimberScan ERP systems)
Advanced Excelessential; Power BI or other reporting tools a plus
Organized detail-oriented and adept at managing multiple priorities
Collaborative and proactive team player with exceptional communication skills
Change-ready with a passion for process improvement and innovation
