About the team

The SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) enables customers to build a future-proof business data fabric that unifies and governs SAP and third-party data as the foundation foragentic AI and enterprise systems. The BDC Knowledge Graph (KG) team is responsible for all KG topics for SAP BDC from data transformation and integration as part of the SAP Knowledge Graph to tooling that enables customerstobuild their own ontologies and graphs. We work with modern software stacks and infrastructure including agentic AI development and grounding. The team works very closely with global AI and KG teams to drive SAPs vision of the autonomous enterprise enabled by AIagents and grounded by the SAP Knowledge Graph.

As part of this team youll be able to make a significant impact on a key strategic area forone of the worldsleadingenterprise software providerswith the opportunity to design and shape how challenges are tackled with the latest tech in a globally distributed and collaborative environment with a strong team in Brazil.

What youll build

  • Lead with a hands-on approach the evolution ofthedesignandarchitecturescalable AI-native application systems and componentsincluding advanced RAG pipelines and multi-agent workflows as well asrobust ETL pipelines.

  • Take an active role defining SAPs end-to-end knowledge graph infrastructure to support internal and external users in building the next generation of AI-powered applications.

  • Independently translate complex and ambiguous challenges into clear technical solution paths in alignment with the impacted technical and non-technical stakeholdersnegotiatingtrade-offsand ensuringalignmentfor the success of these technical solutions.

  • Lead the design and implementation ofobservability and SRE practices including monitoring alerting incident response and root cause analysis to ensure high system reliabilityand self-correction.

  • Own development projects end-to-end orchestratingtechnical execution withplatform data and AI teams toensurerobust production-ready solutions and improvingsystem integration.

  • Drive the optimization ofsystem scalability resiliencecost efficiencyand maintainabilityacross systemsthrough thoughtful design and engineering best practices.

Whatyoubring

  • Exceptional programming andcloud-nativesoftware engineering expertise.

  • High proficiencyin system design includingdesigning forscale resiliency and fault expertiseinmicroservices anddistributed systemsexpected.

  • Strong experience in performance optimizationand troubleshootingincomplex systemenvironments

  • Solid understanding of SRE principles observability (logs metrics tracing) and incident management.

  • Demonstrated technical leadershipin complex cross-team engineering initiatives includingtheability tocommunicate complex topics clearlyestablish alignmentandsolve ambiguous problems in a dynamic environment.

  • A track record ofmentoringand collaboration acting as a role model to the less experienced members and a trusted partner to peers and leaders.

  • Hands-on experience with:

  • Cloud platformssuch asAWS GCP Azure or SAP BTP

  • AI-assisted coding tools use and best practices

  • LLMintegration and consumption advanced RAG patterns and agentic workflows is preferred.

  • Experience with ETL pipelines and/or Data Engineering isa strong plus.

  • Experience with Knowledge Graphs especially RDF and SPARQL isa differentiator.
