Data Analyst (Power BI Expert)

As our Power BI Expert you will be the go-to person to design automate optimise and maintain the Power BI reporting landscape that supports these initiatives making sure stakeholders from executives to operational teams

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. KPI reporting & automation
a. Build and automate end-to-end KPI reporting for Group Controlling stakeholders
b. Translate business questions into clear decision-ready dashboards aligned with our performance framework

2. Maintenance & continuous improvement of existing dashboards
a. Support the maintenance of the existing Group Controlling Power BI portfolio
b. Monitor adoption and usage (e.g. via Power BI Usage Metrics) and proactively propose improvements based on real user behaviour.

3. Semantic models visualisation & data quality
a. Rationalise our Power BI semantic models consolidate overlapping datasets clarify ownership document relationships and improve refresh performance.
b. Optimise visualisations: simplify standardise and align them with our design and accessibility guidelines so reports are intuitive and consistent across the portfolio
c. Lead data cleaning and data quality activities upstream of the reports in close coordination with data owners.

4. Stakeholder & bridge role between Business and IT
a. Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders (Controlling IT other departments) turning sometimes fuzzy needs into concrete reporting solutions.
b. Engage with IT and Data teams on databases dataflows gateways and Power BI governance (workspaces roles access).

Requirements:
1. Solid hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop (semantic models DAX Power Query workspaces apps dataset refreshes gateways)
2. Proven experience designing automating and maintaining KPI dashboards in a corporate or group-wide context ideally in Controlling Finance or IT governance
3. Strong skills in data modelling semantic model optimisation and data cleaning (performance tuning naming conventions documentation).
4. Ability to work autonomously: identify needs propose solutions for both data structure and visualisation and drive them to delivery.
5. Excellent communication skills comfortable talking to both business stakeholders (controllers managers executives) and IT/Data engineers;
6. Fluent in English; a good working knowledge of French and/or Dutch is a strong asset German is a plus given our 50Hertz collaboration.
