At Goldsmith were committed to excellence in every machine we service. We take pride in the dedication of our talented team who keep our fleet and operations running at peak performance. Were currently seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to join our team based in Pakenham.

About the Role

As a Workshop Manager your initial responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and supervise the day-to-day operations of theWorkshop including allocating jobs and managing workflow to meet deadlines
  • Provide guidance coaching and on-the-job training to develop technical skills within the team Perform hands-on mechanical work as needed drawing on trade background to support the team during peak workload or complex jobs
  • Plan schedule and coordinate preventative maintenance repairs and breakdowns across the fleet/plant.
  • Travel to site as required to assess equipment issues support field maintenance and liaise with site teams.
  • Assess repair rebuild and replacement strategies to maximise equipment reliability and availability
  • Oversee parts procurement inventory and supplier relationships including pricing terms and performance.
  • Manage work orders maintenance records and workshop reporting
  • Ensure workshop compliance with WHS legislation and company policy through regular safetyinspections toolbox talks and incident reporting

About you

To be considered for this role the successful applicant must have:

  • A Mechanical Trade Qualification or relevant industry experience
  • Valid drivers licence (HR/HC highly regarded but not essential)
  • A proactive hands-on approach happy to lead from the front and get into the detail when needed.
  • Experience using systems and processes for job scheduling parts ordering and maintenance records (or willingness to learn)
