Job Summary
JLE Groupis seeking an experienced Workshop Fabrication Supervisor to join ourManufacturing & Hiredivision. Based inDubbo the Workshop Fabrication Supervisor is responsible for the safe efficient and profitable supervision of all workshop fabrication activities associated with structural steel skids switch room structures mechanical assemblies transport frames equipment supports mining infrastructure and manufactured products.
About the role
The role provides frontline leadership to fabrication personnel and ensures all fabrication works are delivered in accordance with approved drawings specifications quality requirements welding procedures client expectations and production schedules.
The Workshop Fabrication Supervisor is accountable for workforce coordination fabrication quality workshop productivity safety performance and the successful delivery of manufacturing projects. The position acts as the key link between Engineering Project Delivery Teams Workshop Management and Fabrication Personnel
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the fabrication team to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the workshop.
- Mentor apprentices and emerging tradespersons.
- Promote accountability and workplace discipline.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless workflow and communication.
- Assist in the planning and scheduling of fabrication tasks to meet project deadlines.
- Review fabrication priorities with Workshop Management.
- Assist with workshop capacity planning and labour forecasting.
- Ensure fabrication works comply with applicable Australian Standards.
- Reduce fabrication rework through effective supervision and quality assurance.
- Ensure fabrication records are maintained and completed.
- Maintain fabrication traceability and production records.
- Monitor daily production outputs.
- Ensure fabrication equipment remains serviceable and compliant.
- Monitor labour productivity against budgets.
- Support monthly operational reporting and project reviews.

What youll bring
Essential:
- Trade Qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electrotechnology.
- Current Electrical Licence.
- Current Construction White Card.
- Demonstrated workshop or manufacturing supervisory experience.
- Strong understanding of electrical manufacturing and installation practices.
- Ability to interpret drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable:
- Certificate IV in Leadership and Management.
- Project Management qualifications.
- HighRisk Work Licenses.
- First Aid Certification.
