About the Role:

Wecurrently have a position available for apart-timeWelfare Welfare Workerwill work within the program to provide information culturallyappropriate support and welfare advocacy for residents in treatment for their drug and alcohol also undertake administrative aspects ofresidentsadmission and discharge processes includingthe collection of resident accommodation fees andrefunds.

The position is offered as apart-timerole working38hours per fortnight and islocatedat our Nannup TCin the Southwest surrounded by natural bushland.

The position is Level 4 -Level 5 Salary$96295 -$113725 per annum pro rata plussuperannuation.

To be appointed / successful in this roleyou will require the followingkeyqualificationsskillsand experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in health and/or social welfare or equivalent.
  • Experienceandknowledge ofAODconcerns.
  • Demonstrated and well developed interpersonal verbal and written communication skills and ability to work as a part of a team.
  • Problem-solvingand intervention skills with the ability toidentifyand assess resident needs.
  • Experience in group facilitation.
  • Demonstrated administrative organisational and time management skills.
  • Well-developed self-management skills to cope with difficult casesandmanage stress.
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office suite and computer systems.
  • Willingness and ability to work within the philosophy and culture of the Therapeutic Community model.
  • Full work rights current National Police Clearance First Aid certificate and current Driver Licence.
