About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Welder to join our Workshop team in Cardup. This role is pivotal in fabricating and repairing metal products using various welding techniques ensuring the reliability and performance of our plant and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Study blueprints drawings and specifications to determine job requirements
Select clean and prepare metal stock and materials for fabrication
Cut marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines
Shape and bend metal components and pipes using hand tools machinery heating and hammering techniques
Align parts to be joined using appropriate hand tools and measuring instruments
Join metal sections through welding (MIG TIG Arc) bolting and riveting methods
Examine completed welds for bead width penetration and overall precision
Finish and clean welded products to meet quality and safety standards
Maintain a safe and clean work area adhering to all WHS policies and procedures
What Youll Bring
Trade qualification in Engineering Fabrication (Boilermaking)
Demonstrated experience in a similar workshop or field-based role
Proficiency in various welding techniques and metal fabrication
Ability to interpret and work from detailed technical drawings
Strong commitment to safe work practices and quality standards
Australian Drivers Licence (mandatory)
Excellent problem-solving and time management skills
Desirable Qualifications
Working at Heights certification
Confined Space Entry certification
Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Ticket
Dogman or Rigger Ticket
Forklift Licence
