ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an outstanding and highly motivated Visual Communication Design (VCD) Teacher to lead and inspire students in our Senior School in a progressive supportive and well-resourced educational environment.
Working alongside a collaborative team of experienced educators you will deliver a dynamic contemporary VCD program to our Senior VCE students with the capacity to teach Visual Art to Middle School Students. This position requires an exceptional practitioner with a genuine passion for design thinking visual literacy and driving high level VCE academic outcomes while supporting the broader development of our students.
This is a full time (FTE 1.0) fixed term position commencing at the beginning of Term 1 2027 and concluding at the end of Term 4 2027.
In addition all teaching staff are required to participate in one season of the AGSV Sports Program either through coaching or managing a sporting team as part of their broader responsibilities at Camberwell Grammar School. This role also involves additional co-curricular responsibilities including Year Level Camps and the Friday Activities Program and encompasses pastoral care responsibilities.
ABOUT YOU
You are a passionate highly accomplished VCD educator who leads by example models exceptional practice and brings energy and expertise to the design curriculum. You are an expert in your field with deep knowledge of current VCE Visual Communication Design study designs contemporary industry practices and sound pedagogical approaches. You have a deep commitment to fostering inclusivity and ensuring all students have equal opportunities to thrive.
You will also have:
- Relevant teaching qualifications in Visual Communication Design / Art Education.
- Current Teacher Registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
- Demonstrated success in guiding VCE Visual Communication Design students toward strong academic achievements.
- The capacity and flexibility to deliver engaging Visual Art units within the Middle School curriculum.
- Anaphylaxis training certification.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in working with students staff and parents.
- Outstanding planning and organisational skills coupled with adaptability to deal with the unexpected.
- Experience in the delivery of pastoral academic and co-curricular programs and fostering a dynamic learning community committed to the development of the whole person.
