About the role
Job Location: 2 Lonsdale Street Melbourne
The Vicmap Acquisition Specialist supports the supply maintenance and quality of Victorias foundational spatial data. Working within a small team the role focuses on acquiring imagery elevation and 3D data particularly satellite imagery to meet the needs of state and local government and improve public sector investment in spatial data.
The role supports procurement and contract management works with stakeholders to understand requirements and provides specialist advice on geospatial imaging and data. It also prepares project specifications supports financial and invoice management and contributes to quality assurance product development and service improvements through strong collaboration across government.

- Delivers projects effectively prioritising tasks maintaining accurate records and managing work in line with agreed plans and priorities.
- Manages contracts confidently monitoring supplier performance ensuring compliance and addressing risks in line with best practice.
- Thinks critically and solves problems using sound judgement seeking relevant information and taking practical action to resolve issues.

Qualifications and experience
Youllbring:
- Experience in GIS remote sensing and programming (mandatory).
- Experience managing small to medium projects independently delivering to agreed scope time and budget (mandatory).
- Relevant qualifications or experience in geomatics surveying geoinformatics spatial sciences or information technology. (Mandatory)
